The Team

To produce HET ONDERWATER THEATER a small but dedicated team contributes to the many facets of the film, from sound design and editing to creative direction and prop building.

Esther Frank is the author and producer of HET ONDERWATER THETAER. She has experience as an art educator, producer, and curator. She has worked, among other places, at the Beautiful Distress House, which uses art to make mental vulnerability visible, tangible, and open to discussion. In addition, she works as a producer for the IDFA documentary festival.

Sasha Herman is director, producer and lead animator of HET ONDERWATER THEATER. His experimental animation style lends itself to a wide range of projects, from autonomous artworks to short films and animation workshops.

Leticia van Neerven helps with character design. Her fresh approach to stop motion animtion has contributed heavily to the look of the film. She has worked as a set designer for animation studios such as 5AM Studios and Beast Animation. Her own film projects have been screened at well-known film festivals including KABOOM and Annecy.
